a) is NOT TRUE: I screwed up and mistakenly typed 40 when I was thinking 14, which is correct, though I do see stats of 55% floating around on the Internet, too. I'll take what the Romance Writers of America says, though: source. More on that in a moment.

b) is the COMPLETELY MADE UP STATISTIC but it's hilarious anyhow.

c) is TRUE: source
